Looking for a low calorie appetizer or a
healthy protein source? Try shrimp. At 30 calories an ounce
(4 medium shrimp) it's a great option. Don't fret about the
cholesterol in it because cholesterol needs to be paired with saturated
fat to be absorbed. Shrimp only has a miniscule amount of
saturated fat so cholesterol absorption is prevented. Shrimp is
also a source of the heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids. So enjoy
some shrimp cocktail, kabobs, stir fries, or salads guilt free.
