| Kay Sheppard's Hummus | |
1 cup cooked garbanzo beans Blend or process all ingredients until mixture is smooth. Add a small amount of water to facilitate blending if needed. Remove from blender with a spatula. Hummus is good served with fresh vegetable sticks. Exchange system: count 2 Tbsp = 1/2 starch, or 1/4 cup = 1 starch Garbanzo beans are great sources of soluble fiber too which help lower LDL (loser) cholesterol |
