I have moved my Woodhaven Office. The new address is 21641 Allen Rd, Woodhaven, MI 48183. I am IN the Siegel Chiropractic Building.
It's a new office, and I have a big window so I can bring in all my plants and feel like I'm at a retreat in my office. I LOVE IT!

I also survived the BIG 4-0 on April 3rd. My friends and family didn't abuse me too bad. Cat in the hat on my head, tiara, beads with 40's on them. Will add some photos soon.

Continuous hello's to all my new out of state and Canadian OA and OA/HOW members! I'm enjoying all the accents. By the way, I'm in the Detroit Area and on Eastern Time Zone.

You can then click on the title you're interested in and my archived tip will come up. Some months may be missing because I updated topics or redid some handouts and they were re-posted. Recently, I'm just behind a bit.

My 15# or so weight release saga.Ok 40 is now here (april 3). HOW did THAT happen? I don't feel it? I know 40 is the new 30 but are we all just saying that cause we're getting older? I realized that I was stressing myself out trying to get to "this ideal" for my birthday and things keep coming up which are wonderful career opportunities and projects which are cutting into my hard core exercise time. I've definitely been to the gym or basement equipment but my main focus is really trying to live in the moment and incorporate as many active things per day as possible, pile in the veggie, and make sure to get enough proteins.getting enough carbs is a given.

I really enjoyed being outside this weekend, FINALLY. Started some gardening. For my out of state people, this has been the 4th snowiest winter in Detroit history which dates back to 1880-1881. It's been one tough winter. But, I think we've made the turnaround! Seeing a lot of people out and about coming out of hibernation.

A client gave me the idea of renting movies/bios to watch on the treadmill so you have something to look forward to...and who needs to see the negative news and weather every 5 seconds anyways? (He also has a newer TV and uses headphones for surround sound and doesn't wake up the house so early in the am.) And you only have a couple days to watch them so it encourages exercise. Crank up that incline!! (Remember every 1% grade increases calories burned by 10%) See Feb 06 exercise tip to calculate your cals burned on treadmills.

We're all a work in progress. Fitness and being healthy is a journey, not just an event.

Still working on making it a great 2008 and working on (celebrating?) my joining of the 40 club.
