The D-I-E-T F-R-E-E
Healthy Habits for Life

D...Drink water and fat-free milk Think before you drink anything else.
Keep a water bottle next to your bed at night. Have at big glass first thing in the am. If you hate water, try adding lemon or mixing in a tiny bit of juice. If your water tastes like "pool water" and you can taste the chlorine, invest in a water filter like Britta™

I...Include Breakfast and Stop Eating Two to Three hours before bed.
Do not skip breakfast. Even a piece of fruit or a yogurt is quick to slam down or try a homemade smoothie to sip on. Set your clock to when the "kitchen closes" at night. Of course if you're starving do not go to bed on an empty stomach. Have something light like toast, dry cereal, fruit which is easy to digest.

E...Eat a Fruit of Vegetable at Every Meal and Snack
Buy it, pack it, leave it in a bowl on the table. Think of all the antioxidants you'll be putting in your body to protect it. This helps you fill up on nutritious foods and not junk.

T...Tame Your Sweet Tooth
Tell yourself you have to have a fruit at every snack with a glass of water and see how long it takes for the candy cravings to go away. When you have enough protein in your diet the sweet cravings chill out too.

F...Find the Fat: Know the Good and the Bad
Skimp on fried foods, salad dressings, condiments and high fat meats. Add the healthy mono fats back in such as a couple nuts, bits of avocado and olives.

R...Replace Processed Foods with Whole Foods
'nuff said. Plan ahead. Wheat versus white.

E...Eat Only Until You Are No Longer Hungry
Don't starve, don't stuff. Remember it takes 20 minutes for our belly to tell our brain it's filling up.

E...Exercise: Make it Your Middle Name
Move, dance, exercise, have fun. Try to incorporate more physical things into your day as much as possible.
